Our pre-Christmas season starts in April. Usually the newest employee comes up with ideas for the next advent calendar. Concepts are developed for months ...and discarded, tests carried out, and many, many candles lit...
In July the prototype is released, and the production of approx. 230 calendars - where everyone lends a hand - must be completed by the beginning of November. Project delays are not permissible (...). The briefing is very specific: at least one candle, a scale for 24 days, easy to assemble, when packed a maximum of 5 cm high, one part must be „ready-made“ and available everywhere, and the total cost may not exceed about 15 Euro. In every year, without exception, many trials and tribulations were involved in the development and implementation - experiences that help us in future to individually better understand the obstacles our customers face with every product development.
20 calendars in 20 years also means that quite a few children have grown up with our advent calendars. Customers, probably on behalf of their children, therefore ask: „Will there be a new calendar again this year?“ This is the motivation to start again every April, and we hope that we will keep coming up with something new for many years...
