Usability seminar in Stuttgart

In order to continuously educate ourselves and broaden our horizons, Held+Team took part in the "Usability Engineering in Medical Technology" course. The fact that UX is becoming increasingly important in medical design is a trend that has been evident for a long time. As a result, this is of course a topic that we also deal with in depth, and one that is becoming an increasingly large part of our daily work.

During the two-day training, we were able to benefit from the knowledge of the experts in various areas:

  • Usability engineering for medical devices (terms, definitions, standards)
  • User research and context of use analyzes as part of the use specification
  • User requirements engineering Usage scenarios and use-related risk assessment
  • Designing human-machine interfaces
  • Formative and summative usability evaluations
  • Usability reporting and documentation
  • Usability aspects of instructions for use (IFU)
  • Usability Engineering as a part of Post Market Surveillance

The seminar was very interesting and insightful. We look forward to applying our new knowledge to the upcoming projects in order to offer our customers - as well as the end users - even more user-friendly products.
