A different museum experience: Woods Art Institute

The idyllic Woods Art Institute is located in quiet Reinbek just outside the border of Hamburg. Home of the extensive art collection "Reinking". The first exhibition after the opening of the WAI was dedicated to the experimental artist Terence Koh. The extensive collection found an ideal place in the buildings, which had just been architecturally converted and renovated. The exhibition attracted Held+Team to admire the sometimes impressive, sometimes oppressive, but always eccentric works.

The human artwork "Tim" by the Belgian artist Wim Delvoye was also exhibited there. Tim became the first living work of art. He had his back tattooed and became an art object that is exhibited in museums. He is a personified work of art and is shown shirtless in exhibitions worldwide. Unfortunately not at the time of our visit.
